Su Gorroppu

The Gorge of Su Gorropu is one of Europe’s deepest canyons: in some points it reaches 400 meters in hight. Walking along the canyon is a wonderful experience, and ¾ of it are easily accessible.

The trekking paths to reach Su Gorroppu begin by the Oddoene valley, a few kilometers from Dorgali, a town located 36 km from Orosei.

The Gorge of Su Gorropu is the result of tectonic movements and river erosion by the Rio Flumineddu river, that partly flows under the gorge.

A natural monument to discover especially during the spring but also during the summer, perfect for those who love taking long walks.
